This notice explains what personal data Landfill Watch processes, why it is needed, how long it is kept, and the choices available to you.

Data we process and why

We receive this data from you, your browser, and—when you sign in—our identity provider. We do not sell personal data or use it for behavioural advertising. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Service providers and map requests
We use Auth0 by Okta for authentication, Akamai Connected Cloud (Linode) infrastructure in the EU-central region to host and operate the service, and—only with your consent—Google Analytics to measure use and performance. These providers process data under their service arrangements. Read how Google processes data in its Privacy Policy.
When you open an interactive map, your browser can request map tiles directly from OpenStreetMap, Esri, or CARTO, depending on the background you select. Those requests disclose technical request data and the requested tile coordinates to the selected provider, which processes that data under its own privacy terms. Layer credits in the map identify the active providers.
A provider may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where ClimateScope arranges such a transfer, it must use a transfer mechanism permitted by data-protection law. You may contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.
Your data-protection rights
Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may ask us for access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of your personal data. You may also have rights to portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw analytics consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before the withdrawal.
Email info@climatescope.io to make a request. We may need enough information to verify your identity. You may also complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection or the supervisory authority where you live or work. See uoou.gov.cz for the Czech authority.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page when our processing changes. Material changes will be identified by a new date and, where appropriate, an in-product notice.
